این کمپانی فرانسوی چندی پیش نسخه جدید ویرون را با نام سوپر اسپرت معرفی کرد که دارای حداکثر سرعت 430 کیلومتر بر ساعت است
ثبت این رکورد جدید همزمان با رونمایی این مدل جدید در پیست فولکس واگن و با حضور نمایندگان رکوردهای گینس وشرکت استاندارد صنعتی TUV آلمان صورت گرفت.در این رکورد گیری یک بار رقم 427 وبار دیگر در جهت مخالف سرعت434 بر ساعت ثبت شد که باعث شد میانگین آن یعنی 431 کیلومتر برساعت به عنوان رکورد سرعت جدید ای با مجوز تردد در خیابان
ویرون سوپر اسپرت نسبت به ویرون عادی تفاوتهایی در بدنه و موتور دارد که دستیابی به این سرعت را برای آن امکان پذیر کرده است .قدرت موتور با تغییراتی که بوگاتی جزئیات آن را منتشر نکرده است به 1200 اسب بخار رسیده است و حداکثر گشتاور نیز رقم باور نکردنی 1500 نیوتون متر است! موتور ویرون داری 16 سیلندر با آرایش W است این موتور که دارای چهار ردیف چهار تایی سیلندر است دارای چهار توربو چارجر و حجم موتور 8 لیتر است.
بدنه ویرون سوپر اسپرت دارای سپرهای جدید با قابلیتهای آئرودینامیکی بیشتر و قسمت پشت کابین تغییر شکل یافته است .مسیر ورودی هوا از روی سر سیلندر به روی سقف انتقال یافته است و برای عبور راحتتر هوا از روی بدنه قسمت بالای موتور نسبت به ویرون عادی تغییر کرده وپوشیده شده است
بدنه به صورت کامل از فیبر کربن ساخته شده است.شاسی یک تکه نیز از نوع جدیدی از فیبر کربن با استحکام بیشتر ساخته شده است.برای محافظت از لاستیکهای ویرون و ایمنی بیشتر حداکثر سرعت به صورت الکترونیکی به 415 کیلومتر برساعت محدود شده است وبرای دستیابی به سرعت 431 کیلومتر بر ساعت باید تحت نظر کارخانه در پیست این کار را انجام داد
بوگاتی مدل ویرون را در سه نسخه تولید میکند که عبارتند از کوپه-گرند اسپرت و سوپر اسپرت.مدل کوپه تیراژش به 300 دستگاه محدود است که 260 عدد از آن فروخته شده است .از مدل گرند اسپرت تا کنون 35 دستگاه و از مدل سوپر اسپرت 5 دستگاه فروخته شده است
